Abstract

A wireless communication unit (400) includes an antenna arrangement (402); an aperture tuner (426) operably coupled to a first port (438) of the antenna arrangement (402); a measurement circuit (428) operably coupled to an antenna input feed point (432) of the antenna arrangement (402) and arranged to measure a parameter. A controller (414), operably coupled to the aperture tuner (426), is arranged to perform closed loop aperture tuning using the measured parameter.
