Abstract

A seed meter assembly (16) for a seeding machine (10) is disclosed. The seed meter assembly (16) comprising a metering member (24) mounted for rotation about a meter axis (A) and driven to rotate in a direction of travel, the metering member (24) having an inner surface (36) configured to receive seeds and an outer surface (38), and apertures (26) passing through the metering member (24) between the inner surface (36) and the outer surface (38) at a radial distance (F1) from the meter axis (A); and a loader (60) including at least one loader surface (86) movable into and out of a position in which the loader surface (86) is disposed at the radial distance (F1) adjacent one of the apertures (26). Further, a row unit with such seed meter assembly and a loader for such seed meter assembly is disclosed.
