Abstract

A gas turbine engine (100) is provided, comprising a tail cone (199;202;302) and a low-pressure spool (197) outside the tail cone (199;202;302). An input shaft (204;304) is coupled to the low-pressure spool (197) and inside the tail cone (199;202;302). A differential (208;308) is coupled to the input shaft (204;304) and inside the tail cone (199;202;302). A generator (218;318) is coupled to the differential (208;308) and also disposed inside the tail cone (199;202;302). An oil pump (216;316) is configured to pump oil through the generator (218;318) to the differential (208;308). A generator assembly (200;300) is also provided. The generator assembly (200;300) comprises an input shaft (204;304), a differential (208;308) coupled to the input shaft (204;304), a rotating transfer tube (224;320) coupled to the differential (208;308), a generator (218;318) coupled to rotating transfer tube (224;320), and an oil pump (216;316) configured to pump oil from the generator (218;318), through the rotating transfer tube (224;320), and into the differential (208;308).
