Abstract

Detection device to determine if a mobile element (8) is located at a first or a second position, this sensor comprising emitters (18, 19) of first and second fixed parallel light beams (21, 22) and a pad (12) capable of intercepting each beam (21, 22), first and second fixed receivers (23, 24) arranged to determine if the first light beam or the second light beam (21, 22) respectively is intercepted by the pad (12) fixed to the mobile element (8). The beams (21, 22) are positioned such that when the mobile element (8) occupies: - the first position, the pad (12) intercepts the first beam (21) without intercepting the second beam (22); - the second position, the pad (12) intercepts the second beam (22) without intercepting the first beam (21).
