Abstract
The disclosure relates to a system for maintaining proper tension in the one or more fluidly movable aprons (40) during the tailgate (13) closing process of a baling cycle. Sensors (130, 140) are used to obtain position data of the bale density system and tailgate system. This information is used by a controller (150), which then calculates if an adjustment to the speed of the tailgate (13) is necessary to maintain proper tension in the movable aprons (40).
