Abstract

An aqueous fertilizer composition, comprising (a) a first surfactant of the formula R 1 -(OCH 2 CHR 2 ) x (OCH 2 CHR 3 ) y OR 4 (I), wherein R 1 represents linear or branched C8-C18 alkyl, R 2 and R 3 are selected from the group consisting of CH 3 and CH 2 CH 3 , with the provision that R 2 and R 3 are different, R 4 represents H or linear or branched C1-C8 alkyl, x is an integer from 1 to 10, y is an integer from 3 to 10, and the sum x+y is in the range from 5 to 20; (b) a second surfactant of the formula R 5 -(OCH 2 CHR 6 ) z -OR 7 (II), wherein R 5 represents linear or branched C16-C18alkyl, R 6 represents H or CH 3 , R 7 represents H or linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl, and z is 8, 9 or 10; (c) a mineral fertilizer ingredient selected from a macronutrient fertilizer, secondary macronutrient fertilizer, micronutrient fertilizer, and mixtures thereof; and (d) water.
