Abstract

A fuel cell system (1) includes: a fuel cell (34) including a fuel electrode to which fuel reformed in a supply source (Gs) is supplied and an oxidizer electrode to which oxidizer gas is supplied and that generates an electric power using the fuel and the oxidizer gas; a fuel supply device (11a1) supplying the fuel to the fuel cell; a combustion unit (36) burning combustible gas led out from the fuel electrode using the oxidizer gas; an ignition device (36a1, 36a2) igniting the combustible gas introduced into the combustion unit to fire up the combustion unit; and a control device (15) controlling at least the fuel cell, wherein the control device includes: a fuel reference flow rate setting unit (15b) setting a target flow rate of fuel, a blow-off determination unit (15d) determining whether blowing off has occurred or not, and a first ignition unit (15e) increasing the target flow rate.
