Abstract

A method for applying a predetermined dot pattern (3, 30) to a surface of an ophthalmic lens or of an ophthalmic lens mold comprises the steps of: - providing a plurality (15) of jet nozzles; - applying the predetermined dot pattern (3, 30)to the surface of the ophthalmic lens or of the ophthalmic lens mold using the plurality (15) of jet nozzles, wherein applying the predetermined dot pattern (3, 30) to the surface of the ophthalmic lens or of the ophthalmic lens mold comprises applying at least one individual dot of the predetermined dot pattern (3, 30) by using at least two different jet nozzles (16, 17, 18) of the plurality (15) of jet nozzles.
