Abstract
According to various embodiments, disclosed is an axle saddle system for an axle having an undercut (107) between the outboard and inboard bearing lands of the axle. According to various embodiments, the axle saddle system comprises a saddle (110) configured to fill the axle undercut (107) in order to protect the axle from damage by the installation of a wheel onto the axle.
