Abstract

A display device according to an exemplary embodiment includes: a substrate (110); a thin film transistor (Qh, Ql) disposed on the substrate (110); a pixel electrode (191h, 191l) connected with the thin film transistor; a roof layer (360) disposed on the pixel electrode (191 h, 191l), while interposing a microcavity (305) therebetween; an injection hole (307a, 307b) disposed along a side surface of the microcavity (305); a liquid crystal layer (310) disposed in the microcavity (305); and an encapsulation layer (390) covering the injection hole (307a, 307b) of the microcavity (305). The roof layer (360) comprises a first portion (P1) disposed adjacent to the injection hole (307a, 307b), and a second portion (P2) other than the first portion (P1), and a height (h11, h21, h31) from the substrate (110) to an upper surface of the first portion (P1) is lower than the height (h21, h22, h32) from the substrate (110) to an upper surface of the second portion (P2).
