Abstract

A yarn winding device (2) includes a winding section (8) that forms a package (30) by winding a yarn accumulated in a yarn accumulating section (18). The yarn accumulating section (18) includes a yarn accumulating roller (32) on an outer peripheral surface (32a) of which the yarn is wound and accumulated, and a ring member (46) that applies resistance to the yarn when the yarn wound on the yarn accumulating roller (32) is pulled by the winding section (8) to wind into the package (30). A concave portion (38) is formed in the outer peripheral surface (32a) in an area straddling a mounting position of the ring member (46) in a direction parallel to a rotation axis (R) of the yarn accumulating roller (32). The yarn is passed through the concave portion (38) below the ring member (46).
