Abstract

An object of the present invention is to provide a method of removing, from a polymer, a bleeding component and/or a blooming component, mainly a hydrophilic bleeding component and/or blooming component which makes observation of a surface of a polymer difficult. A method of removing a bleeding component and/or a blooming component in a polymer by subjecting the polymer to extraction using at least one or more of amphipathic solvents, and a method of observing a phase structure of a blend polymer comprising two or more polymer components, wherein the phase structure of the blend polymer, from which the bleeding component or the blooming component has been removed by the above-mentioned removal method, is observed in water using an atomic force microscope.
