Abstract

The present invention concerns a measurement system (2) adapted to characterize at least one single magnetic object comprising a magnetic AMR/PHR sensor (4) comprising an active surface (14) on which at least one magnetic particle (12) is deposited and including a magnetic probe (24) with a closed loop shape, a first terminal (32), a second terminal (34), both terminals facing each other and contacting with the magnetic probe (24), a source (6) adapted to inject an alternative current or voltage in the magnetic probe (24), the source (6) being connected between the first and second terminals (32, 34) and the current or voltage vibrating at an exciting frequency, and a voltage measurement device (8) connected between the first and second terminals (32, 34) measuring the differential voltage between the pair of terminals (32, 34), and a signal acquisition device (52) adapted to extract the amplitude at twice the exciting frequency in the measured differential voltage and to deduce at least one physical quantity based on the extracted amplitude.
