Abstract

A display device (10) includes a display substrate (100) including at least one step portion (S), and a thin film encapsulation layer (200) above the display substrate (100), the thin film encapsulation layer (200) including a buffer layer (210) configured to reduce a height difference due to the at least one step portion (S) and a barrier layer (220) above the buffer layer (210), the buffer layer (210) including a plurality of sub-layers (222) and interfaces (226) between the plurality of sub-layers (222), and the interfaces (226) including a curved surface changing from a concave shape to a convex shape toward a portion overlapping the step portion (S) from an outer portion of the step portion (S).
