Abstract

Disclosed is a tubular motor drive (1) for a screening device (8). The tubular motor drive (1) comprises an electrical motor (2) including an output shaft (11) and a first gear set (3) formed as a gear reducer comprising two or more gear reducer stages (5, 9) arranged to be driven by the output shaft (11), wherein each of the two or more gear reducer stages (5, 9) comprises at least two meshing gears (12, 13, 15, 16) having different module and wherein the rotational axis of the at least two meshing gears (12, 13, 15, 16) are fixed in relation to the output shaft (11). The tubular motor drive (1) further comprises a second gear set (4) formed as a planetary gear comprising one or more planetary gear stages (6), wherein the first gear set (3) is arranged to drive the second gear set (4) through a common centrally arranged drive connection (10) suspended independent from the output shaft (11).
