Abstract
In a signal processing arrangement a first and a second input signal (CH_SIN, CH_COS) associated with the rotating object are received at a first and a second signal input. A first and a second amplitude processing block (101a, 101b) are connected to the first and the second signal input and each have an adjustable gain. A trigonometric processing block (107) has a first and a second input coupled to outputs of the first and the second amplitude processing block (101a, 101a) via respective first and second signal paths. The trigonometric processing block (107) is configured to determine a magnitude value (MAG) and a phase value (PHI) based on signals at its first and second inputs. The signal processing arrangement further has a first and a second compensation block (113a, 113b), each configured to store values at the inputs of the trigonometric processing block (107) as respective peak values, when the phase value assumes a respective phase value. Respective peak amplitude values are determined based on a difference between stored peak values. Respective amplitude errors are determined based on a difference between the magnitude value and the respective peak amplitude value. A respective gain value is determined by applying a respective regulation function to the respective amplitude error and the gain of the first and the second amplitude processing block (101a, 101b) is adjusted based on the respective gain values.
