Abstract

An underground mining vehicle (1) comprising an electric motor (5) for driving the vehicle (1), a rechargeable battery (8) for supplying electric energy to the electric motor (5) and a charging system (20) for recharging the rechargeable battery (8). Further the vehicle (1) comprises a control unit (14) configured to control an operation of the charging system (20) for controlling the recharging of the battery (8), the control unit (14) being configured to comprise a number of selectable recharging modes (FRM, SLRM, SERM) and to control the recharging of the battery (8) according to the selected recharging mode (FRM, SLRM, SERM). The vehicle (1) comprises also a transmitter (15) controlled by the control unit (14) at least for sending a status notification about an automatic change from a recharging mode to another recharging mode to an operator remote terminal device (17, 31, 34) of an operator of the vehicle (1).
