Abstract
An anti-icing system of a nacelle inlet of an engine of an aircraft includes first and second direct acting valves (102A, B) and first and second control valve (104A, B) assemblies fluidly connected to the nacelle inlet. The first direct acting valve (102A) includes a first inlet (108A), outlet (110A), valve chamber (114A), and piston (118A). The first piston (118A) is positioned in the first direct acting valve (102A). The first control valve assembly (104A) is fluidly connected to the first valve (102A). The second direct acting valve (102B) includes a second inlet (108B), outlet (110B), valve chamber (114B), and piston (118B). The second piston (118B) is positioned in the second direct acting valve (102B). The second direct acting valve (102B) is fluidly connected to the first direct acting valve (102A) in a series configuration. The second control valve assembly (104B) is fluidly connected to the second valve chamber (114B).
