Abstract

The present disclosure concerns a filter cleaning device for an air conditioner (1), particularly a duct -type air conditioner, the filter cleaning device comprising a filter (12) to be passed through by an air flow and having a filter surface (13), a brush (17) contactable with the filter surface (13) for removing particulate matter from the filter surface, wherein the brush has a cylindrical shape, a motor (46) configured to rotate the brush in opposite directions; a first comb shaped member (48) engaged with the brush and a second comb shaped member (49) engaged with the brush, wherein the first and second comb shaped members each have a length direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the brush and a width direction, wherein first comb shaped member and the second comb shaped member are inclined away from each other in a cross-sectional view perpendicular to an axis of rotation (19) of the brush. Further the present disclosure contains an air conditioner having such filter cleaning device.
