Abstract

The convenience for a user in updating a file group stored in a programmable display is improved. A programmable display (4) includes a memory unit (45) for storing an existing file group (45a), a reading unit (471) for obtaining an update file group (61a), a difference extraction unit (472) for extracting, from the update file group (61a), a file different from files in the existing file group (45a) as a difference file, and a writing unit (474) for updating the existing file group (45a) by writing the difference file to the memory unit (45).
