Abstract

A yarn joining device (31) includes: a first untwisting pipe (41) that catches a first yarn end (Y1a) made in first yarn (Y1) through a first yarn-end inlet (41a) and untwists therein the first yarn end (Y1a) by action of air injected from a first air injection hole (42); a second untwisting pipe (43) that catches a second yarn end (Y2a) made in second yarn (Y2) through a second yarn-end inlet (43a) and untwists therein the second yarn end (Y2a) by action of air injected from a second air injection hole (44); an air injection portion (91, 92) that is capable of injecting air from outside toward the first and the second yarn-end inlets; a yarn joining portion (50) that twists the first yarn end and the second yarn end untwisted; and a movable lever (82) that is capable of advancing and retreating with respect to the first and the second yarn-end inlets. The air injection portion (91, 92) is provided to the movable lever (82).
