Abstract

An inner shroud segment (80) comprises an inner housing (100) having a radial curve centered relative to an axis and comprising a radial wall (106) and a bottom wall (102) that define a first channel (104), and an outer housing (82) having a first axial wall (84), a first circumferential wall (86), and a second axial wall (88) that define a second channel (94). The outer housing is disposed within the first channel with the radial wall of the inner housing contacting at least one of the first axial wall, the first circumferential wall, or the second axial wall. A compliant material is disposed in the second channel and coupled to the radial wall and at least one of the first axial wall, the first circumferential wall, or the second axial wall. An inner shroud comprises an inner shroud segment (80) with an inner housing (100), and an outer housing (82) disposed in the inner housing. The outer housing defines a channel (94) facing away from the inner housing and a cavity (96) facing towards the inner housing. A vane is retained within the channel (94) and a compliant material retains the inner housing relative to the outer housing. A gas turbine engine comprises a vane retained in an inner shroud segment (80) with an inner housing (100) and an outer housing (82) disposed in the inner housing and defining a channel (94) facing away from the inner housing and a cavity (96) facing towards the inner housing.
