Abstract
An induction burner element (10) for a cooking appliance (12) includes a plurality of injection molded frames (16) positioned in a spaced and concentric relationship, each injection molded frame (16) having an upper cavity (18) and at least one lower cavity (20). A ferrous member (22) is disposed within the at least one lower cavity (20) for each injection molded frame (16). A plurality of wound coils (24) are disposed within the upper cavity (18) for each injection molded frame (16), wherein each wound coil (24) corresponds to a respective injection molded frame (16).
