Abstract

An electric appliance (100) is proposed. The electric appliance (100) comprises: at least one electromechanical device (2101 ,2102 ) switchable between activated and deactivated states thereby allowing energization and de-energization, respectively, of at least one electric load (2051 ,2052 ) of the electric appliance (100), the electromechanical device (2101 ,2102 ) being responsive to a first driving voltage above which it is switched into an activated state, and to a second driving voltage, lower than the first driving voltage, above which the electromechanical device (2101 ,2102 ) is held in the activated state, a switching arrangement (215,220,2251 ,2252 ) for switching the electromechanical device (2101 ,2102 ) according to a combination between a command signal (SCOMM1 ,SCOMM2) and a PWM signal, the duty cycle of the PWM signal being such that: - at a first level of the command signal (SCOMM1 ,SCOMM2), the PWM signal combined with the command signal (SCOMM1 ,SCOMM2) results in a driving voltage at the electromechanical device (2101 ,2102 ) at least equal to said first driving voltage, and - at a second level of the command signal (SCOMM1 ,SCOMM2), the PWM signal combined with the command signal (SCOMM1 ,SCOMM2) results in a driving voltage at the electromechanical device (2101 ,2102 ) between said first and second driving voltages.
