Abstract

A sheet conveying apparatus includes a guide unit (47) including first and second movable guides (40b, 41b) respectively movable with respect to first and second guide portions (40a, 41a) of an apparatus body (101). A first conveyance path (40) is formed between a first guide portion (40a) and the first movable guide (40b), and a second conveyance path (41) is formed between the second guide portion (41a) and the second movable guide (41b). The guide unit (47) is provided with a linking mechanism (8B) for coordinating movements of the first and second movable guides (40b, 41b) such that the first and second movable guides (40b, 41b) are respectively moved away from the first and second guide portions (40a, 41a).
