Abstract

A vehicle body structure includes a reinforcing material (16) having plated-shape or sheet shape formed of a fiber reinforced resin and a vehicle skeleton member having a closed sectional structure formed of metal, the reinforcing material (16) being bonded to the vehicle skeleton member having a recessed portion (28) recessed toward an inner side of the closed sectional structure at a part of an adhesive surface (24A) with respect to the reinforcing material (16). An adhesive (42) is disposed between the recessed portion (28) and the reinforcing material (16).
