Abstract

A head monorail car (12, 14) having a front end (18) and a rear end (20) comprises a body (22), a front load wheel (24) proximate the front end (18), a rear load wheel (26) proximate the rear end (20) and a seat (28) installed in a passenger area (32). The front load wheel (24) and the rear load wheel (26) are laterally centered in the body (22) and at least partially protrude through the floor (30) in the passenger area (32). The seat (28) is longitudinally installed at least partially between the front end (18) of the monorail car (12, 14) and a spinning axis (36) of the front wheel.
