Abstract

The invention relates to a linear flux switching permanent magnet (FSPM) motor (10) comprising a longitudinal linear stator (14) with stator teeth (16) facing an air gap (a) and a mover (12) comprising at least one armature (13) comprising armature teeth (18) embedding at least one permanent magnet (20, 22) which armature teeth (18) are spaced apart by slots (30) for receiving an armature winding (32), which armature teeth (18) have an extended width portion (36) towards the air gap. According to the invention the extended width portion (36) of the armature teeth (18) begins in the longitudinal direction (I) of the armature teeth already at the level of the armature windings (32).
