Abstract
An environmental control system (20) of an aircraft includes a ram air circuit (32) including a ram air shell (34) having at least one heat exchanger (36, 38, 40) positioned therein, at least one dehumidification system (70) arranged in fluid communication with the ram air circuit, a compressing device (50) arranged in fluid communication with the ram air circuit and the dehumidification system, and an expansion device (60) arranged in fluid communication with the ram air circuit and the at least one dehumidification system.
