Abstract

A terminal has a terminal insertion space allowing insertion of a counterpart terminal from front to back. The insertion space is substantially tubularly formed by folding and overlapping side edge ends of first and second side walls. A contact piece supported like a cantilever is provided along an inserting direction of the counterpart terminal at the side edge end of the first side wall located closer to the insertion space. A reinforcing part supported like a cantilever and reinforcing the contact piece in the height direction is provided along the inserting direction of the counterpart terminal at the side edge end of the second side wall located farther from the insertion space. A contact point part provided to the contact piece and coming into contact with the counterpart terminal is located more on the back side in the inserting direction than a support part of the contact piece.
