Abstract
A cutting insert (11) is provided, which can be prevented from being lifted from a tool body (10). The cutting insert (11) includes two end surfaces (20, 21) opposed to each other, a peripheral side surface (22) extending between the two end surfaces (20, 21) , a cutting edge (23) provided at an intersecting edge between at least one of the two end surfaces (20, 21) and the peripheral side surface (22), and a fixing hole (24) provided in an end surface direction (X) from the first end surface (20) to the second end surface (21). The peripheral side surface (22) is provided with raised parts (50) changing in height in the end surface direction (X).
