Abstract
Latent heat reduction. A method for controlling a HVAC installation for a space (1 - 3) in accordance with a target value, the HVAC installation comprising an inlet duct, a temperature sensor (13 - 15) and a moisture sensor (13 - 15), and a fan coil unit (27, 34) configured to remove latent heat from air, the method comprising the steps of: reading signals from each of the moisture sensor (13 - 15) and the temperature sensor (13 - 15), deriving measured quantities for the signals read from the sensors (13 - 15), determining an amount related to latent heat in the space (1 - 3) as a function of the measured quantities, empirically determining a dependence that governs amounts of time required for latent heat removal to amounts related to latent heat removed thereby and operating the HVAC installation, in particular the fan coil unit (27, 34) based on the determined dependence.
