Abstract

A charging control device (2, 40) includes a detector (22) detecting a temperature of a battery (10); a controller (30, 60, S190, S200, S220, S360, S380, 60, S510, S520, S540) causing the charger (40) to stop charging the battery (10) in response to the temperature of the battery (10) falling outside a first range during the charging of the battery (10); an obtainer (30, S120) obtaining, from the charger (40), information that is capable of identifying a charging characteristic of the charger (40); a range setter (30, S140, 60, S250, S450) setting the first range to be a temperature range that corresponds to the charging characteristic of the charger (40) based on the information obtained in the obtainer (30, S120).
