Abstract
A fan (42) of a gas turbine engine (20) is provided. The fan (42) has a plurality of fan blades (70) secured to a rotor (74), each of the plurality of fan blades (70) having an airfoil (72) secured to the rotor (74) at one end and a tip portion (80) that is secured to a shroud (82) that circumscribes the plurality of fan blades (70).
