Abstract

An assembly (10) is provided that includes a first mount (18), a second mount (30) and a fuse pin (42). The first mount (18) is configured with a first aperture (22A). The second mount (30) is configured with a second aperture (32). The fuse pin (42) is mated with the first aperture (22A) and the second aperture (32). The fuse pin (42) connects the first mount (18) and the second mount (30) together. The fuse pin (42) has an axis (58), and is configured with a plurality of slots (86) arranged circumferentially about the axis (58). A first of the slots (86) has a length (90) measured along the axis (58). The second mount (30) has a thickness (94) measured along the axis (58) at an interface between the fuse pin (42) and the second mount (30). The length (90) is greater than the thickness (94).
