Abstract
A printing apparatus includes a printing unit configured to execute printing on a medium, a heating unit configured to cause the medium on which printing has been executed to be heated, and a controller configured to control the heating unit. The controller employs, as a heating mode in which the heating unit is caused to heat the medium, a steam-use heating mode in which heating is executed using steam and a steam-nonuse heating mode in which heating is executed without using steam.
