Abstract

A hybrid torque tube (24) for a brake assembly may comprise a tube portion (100) having a centerline axis, and a conical back-leg portion (104) extending from the tube portion (100). A stator spline (106) may be formed on a radially outward surface of the tube portion (100). A foot (112) may be formed on a radially inward surface of the tube portion (100). The tube portion (100) is formed using a first manufacturing process and at least one of the conical back-leg (104), stator spline (106), or foot (112) is formed using additive manufacturing.
