Abstract

An auger bed (200) having a working position and a cleaning position, and including a frame (202), a plurality of augers (220) rotatably coupled to and supported by the frame (202), and a trough portion (210) moveably connected to the frame (202). In the working position the bottom surface of the trough portion (210) is positioned underneath the plurality of augers (220) and in the cleaning position the entire trough portion (210) is moved relative to the frame (202) so that the bottom surface of the trough portion (210) is not positioned underneath at least a portion of the plurality of augers (220), creating an open space (230) underneath the portion of the plurality of augers (220) for allowing an unwanted material to pass therethrough.
