Abstract

A tire 2 includes a projection 18 disposed between a tread end TE and a maximum width position PW on a side surface 6. The projection 18 includes a groove 29 that extends through an outer side surface 27 in a circumferential direction. The tire 2 is preferably produced by using a mold 30 which has a first part and a second part and in which a dividing line 42 between the first and the second parts extends in the circumferential direction and comes into contact with the side surface 6, and the groove 29 preferably overlaps an imaginary line, on the side surface 6, corresponding to the dividing line 42. A width of the groove 29 is preferably not less than 1.5 mm and preferably not greater than 3.0 mm.
