Abstract

An object of the disclosure is to provide an illumination device (4) with a high degree of freedom in design. The illumination device (4) includes illumination units (6) for irradiating light on an object (W) and a substrate member (2), which is an example of a holding mechanism (24, 68, 610, 620) for detachably holding the illumination units (6) according to a predetermined disposition rule. The substrate member (2) has a connection part (22) for electrically connecting with a controller (100). The substrate member (2) holds a part of the illumination units (6) by linking parts (24).
