Abstract

A cluster-tool assembly (330; 530) for abrasive flow machining a plurality of airfoils (302; 502) is disclosed. The cluster-tool assembly comprises an airfoil cluster (200, 252; 300; 406), the airfoil cluster including a supporting rail (204) and the plurality of airfoils spaced about the supporting rail, and a sacrificial tool (320) unitarily formed with the airfoil cluster, the sacrificial tool including a body (364) and a plurality of prongs (366) extending from the body. An abrasive flow machine and a method for polishing surfaces of a plurality of airfoils are also disclosed.
