Abstract

An image stabilization apparatus (202) includes a fixed member (210), a movable member (220) configured to hold an image stabilization lens (202a) and movable relative to the fixed member on a plane perpendicular to an optical axis (α) of the image stabilization lens, a lock member (500) that is disposed on an outer circumference side of the movable member and can be positioned at a lock position for restricting a movement of the movable member and an unlock position for enabling the movement of the movable member, and a retaining member (510) configured to fix the movable member in an eccentric state when the lock member is located at the lock position.
