Abstract

An organic device (100) comprising a first layer (202), a sealing layer (300) and a resin layer (400) stacked in that order and an organic function layer (211) arranged between the first layer (202) and the sealing layer (300) in a pixel region (10) is provided. The first layer (202), the sealing layer (300) and resin layer (400) have openings for exposing an electrode (30) in a peripheral region (20). The sealing layer (300) includes second layer (301) and third layer (303) each having a water permeability lower than the first layer (202), and a fourth layer (302) arranged between the second layer (301) and the third layer (303) and having a defect density lower than the second layer (301). A step of the second layer (301) arranged above the end of the opening of the first layer (202) is covered with the fourth layer ((302) and a step of the third layer (303) arranged above the end of the opening of the first layer (202) is covered with the resin layer (400).
