Abstract

A fluid film damper may comprise a sleeve (212), an annular support housing (210) surrounding the sleeve (212), an annular volume (216) between the annular support housing (210) and the sleeve (212), a first supply conduit (222) in fluid communication with a first inlet (223) to the annular volume (216), a second supply conduit (224) in fluid communication with a second inlet (225) to the annular volume (216), wherein the first inlet (223) is disposed opposite the annular volume (216) from the second inlet (225), and a common oil supply conduit (240) in fluid communication with the annular volume (216) via a check valve (242), wherein the common oil supply conduit (240) supplies the fluid to the annular volume (216) via the first supply conduit (222) and the second supply conduit (224).
