Abstract

Disclosed is a porous medium, e.g., a bead, fiber, or membrane, comprising a porous support and a crosslinked polymer coating, wherein the polymer of the crosslinked polymer coating comprises at least one of polymerized monomer (A), at least one of polymerized monomer (B), at least one of polymerized monomer (C), wherein monomers (A) - (C) are as defined herein. Also disclosed are methods of preparing the porous medium and of treating a fluid containing a desired protein and one or more negatively charged species or of removing metals from organic solvents used in the microelectronics industry.
