Abstract
A method for manufacturing a thrust reverser blocker door may comprise thermoforming a sandwich panel (600) comprising a facesheet (620), a backsheet (610), and a honeycomb core (630). The method may further comprising overmolding a mounting structure (340) onto the backsheet (610). The first thermoplastic material may comprise a continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite material. The second thermoplastic material may comprise a discontinuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composite material.
