Abstract
A laundry appliance (10) includes a cabinet (14) including a top edge (68). A structural panel (22) is attached to the top edge (68) of the cabinet (14). An adapter panel (26) is attached to the structural panel (22). The adapter panel (26) extends over at least a portion of an upper surface (94) of the structural panel (22). A decorative panel (30) is removably coupled to the adapter panel (26). The decorative panel (30) is disposed over a top surface (122) of the adapter panel (26). The decorative panel (30) is free of attachment with the cabinet (14).
