Abstract

An air traffic control system (10) is described that comprises at least two aircraft radios (18, 20) and a ground system (12). The ground system (12) has an operator device (22) and at least one ground radio station (24) configured to communicate with the at least two aircraft radios (18, 20). The ground system (12) has a simultaneous transmission detection unit (26) that is configured to detect at least two aircraft radio signals received simultaneously by the at least one ground radio station (24). The at least one ground radio station (24) is configured to forward information with regard to the simultaneous transmission detection of at least two aircraft radio signals to at least one of the at least two aircraft radios (18, 20). Furthermore, a method of simultaneous call transmission handling is described.
