Abstract

A structure of the vehicle includes a rear side member (12), a crush box (24) and a bumper reinforcement (20). The rear side member (12) is arranged outside in a width direction of the vehicle and is extended with a length direction of the rear side member (12) coinciding with a longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The crush box (24) plastically deforms through compression of the vehicle. The bumper reinforcement (20) is provided with a hat-shaped open cross-section where a recess portion (22) recessed outward with respect to the vehicle is provided in an inner surface of the bumper reinforcement (20) in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. A width (W1) of an open-end portion (22A) of the recess portion (22) in a vertical direction of the vehicle is set larger than a width (W2) of the rear side member (12) and a size (W3) of the crush box (24) in the vertical direction of the vehicle.
