Abstract

A surveying system comprisesa controller 19;a support 7;a mounting structure 13 mounted on the support 7, wherein the mounting structure 13 is rotatable about a first axis 14 relative to the support 7;a first motor 17 to rotate the mounting structure 13 relative to the support 7;a first mirror 21 mounted on the mounting structure 13, wherein the first mirror 21 is rotatable relative to the mounting structure 13 about a second axis 16, wherein the second axis 16 substantially coincides with the first axis 14;a second motor 23 to rotate the first mirror 21 relative to the mounting structure 13; anda first light source 27, 35 configured to direct a light beam 33 onto the first mirror 21.
